Motivational Poet Society
We are an organization of poets, writers, songwriters, playrights and anyone with a love for language arts and an appreciation for its ability to positively affect the human spirit.
We are dreamers who understand that to live life without passion is not to have lived at all. We believe very strongly in the power of the spoken word and its effectiveness when used correctly. We also believe in the importance of its use in effectively treating and preventing many of the mental health issues in our society today.
We have found that EVERYONE needs at least a little encouragement (positive reinforcement) on a consistent basis. Everyone on the face of the earth wants to be unconditionally loved and accepted regardless of who they are, where they come from, or where they're going.
We meet and learn how to interpret our feelings, manage our emotions, think critically, deepen our understanding of self, read and write expressively, frame our futures, and shape our destinies. We utilize motivational poetry, rap, creative writing, storytelling, and songwriting sessions to facilitate inner healing and personal growth.
