Motivational poetry heals!

"Pleasant words are sweet to the soul and healthy for the bones."  (Proverbs 16:24)

It is a well-known truth that people would rather hear something good and positive than bad and negative.  But why does it seem the exact opposite in today's society?  We seem to thrive off of bad news and the media makes sure that we don't go lacking.  Are we so 'off the beaten path' that we have changed our very nature?  Maybe that's why 21 million Americans are diagnosed with depression every year.  Maybe that's why depression is slated to be the world's greatest disease burden by the year 2020. What is the answer?

Here's one answer: motivational poetry. Why?
Motivational poetry is any poetic expression that brings encouragement to the the heart, insight to the mind, inspiration to the will, and elevation to the spirit. With that encouragement comes truth; with that insight comes revelation; with that inspiration comes resilience, and with that elevation comes purpose. Motivational poetry gives you the ability to shape your thoughts and feelings to accommodate growth and development in your soul. It reminds you of your God-given ability to overcome your obstacles, endure your struggles, and outlast your trouble. It helps you to sharpen you mind, focus your will, and strengthen your emotions.

The Therapeutic Sharing group is for those that would like to really vent, not only about the problems, but also, would like to share knowledge of their solutions. Writing about my life, although painful at times, has been the driven force behind overcoming obstacles. It is my hope and prayer that the therapeutic value will contribute to positive growth, and will allow me to achieve freedom of the mind.
